Water and Sanitation District for Snowmass (SWSD), Colorado, has selected Fathom Water Management’s Prime and U2You products to allow customers to manage their bills and provide them with access to water consumption data, which will boost conservation efforts and customer service.
These products will integrate seamlessly with Snowmass’ existing smart meter infrastructure from Neptune, a metering infrastructure developer.
Snowmass is a small town located just eight miles from Aspen.
With the Fathom system, homeowners can now get early detection of water leaks, insights into water use of their homes and rental properties, and access the Fathom mobile platform to view account activity and pay bills.
By working together, Fathom and Neptune will enable residents to gain more insight into and control over their water consumption.
SWSD billing manager Christie Duckett said: “We immediately saw the benefits of accessing real-time meter data for both our customers and our staff.
“With the new platform, our team can view meter data and water usage in many different ways, from an individual account to city trends, and identify consumption trends. We are also thrilled to provide our customers access to their individual consumption data and alerts to empower them to proactively manage their water usage.”

The Fathom software was deployed in March and included 1,300 meters.
